How to play

Scoreboxx is a free football quiz you play directly in your browser — no download, no registration. Challenge a friend to Football Tic-Tac-Toe and name players who match both categories in a 3×3 grid, or go head-to-head in Football Darts and count down from 501 by naming players. Both games cover clubs from the Bundesliga, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1.

⚽ Football Tic-Tac-Toe

🔲The 3×3 grid has a category on every row and column: a club, a nationality, a trophy (e.g. Champions League, Bundesliga) or a stat (e.g. 10+ goals in a season).
🧠On your turn, pick a cell and name a footballer who satisfies both categories at once — e.g. played for Arsenal and is French.
🚫Each player can only be used once per game.
🏆3 in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) wins the game. If all 9 cells are filled: draw.
⏱️You have 60 seconds per turn. You can pass or ask to reroll the board (opponent must agree).
🔢Play Best of 1, 3, 5 or 7 games in a series.

🎯 Football Darts

🎯Both players start at 501 points. Each round a club is drawn — name a player and their stat for that club is deducted from your score.
📊Three categories: Club appearances (deducted directly), Goals × 2, or (Goals + Assists) × 2. Maximum deduction per player: 180.
💥Bust: if the value exceeds 180 or your score would drop below −9, your score stays unchanged.
✅Checkout: if your score lands between 0 and −9, you win the leg and earn bonus points (10 + new score, max 10).
🏅In series mode (3, 5 or 7 legs) both players accumulate bonus points across all legs — whoever has more at the end wins.
